Às coisas finalmente quietas combina reproduções de fotografias antigas fornecidas pelos moradores do bairro Estrella d’Ouro, construído em 1908, com excertos de poemas de Natália Correia, preservando e inscrevendo fragmentos da memória individual no território, celebrando ao mesmo tempo a obra da poetisa do Botequim. Desenvolvi o trabalho de pesquisa iconográfica com antigos moradores do bairro e com residentes do lar da terceira idade Casa Nossa Senhora da Vitória. Em dois dos painéis utilizei imagens de esculturas realizadas por Tó, uma das residentes do lar”. Agradecimentos: Dona Ana, Tó, Miguel Vidal, Isabel Braga.
To things finally quiet combines reproductions of ancient photographs of dwellers of the Estrella d’Ouro neighbourhood (built in 1908), with excerpts of poems by Natália Correia. I wanted to preserve fragments of personal memories and inscribe them in the territory, celebrating at the same time the work of the poetess. The research for this installation was carried out with the older dwellers of the neighbourhood and with some of the patients of the retirement home Casa Nossa Senhora da Vitória. In two panels I used photographs of wood sculptures by Tó, one of the patient of the retirement home. Thanks to Dona Ana, Tó, Miguel Vidal and Isabel Braga.
